A good little and kind of obscure movie despite it's incredible cast. Will Ferrell stars as Harold Crick an IRS auditor who leads a mundane and boring life until he finds out it's part of a novel. The writer is name Kay Eiffel and as she writes or narrates the story, Harold begins hearing this narration in his head.
It makes for a very interesting and a funny movie. Queen Latifah stars as Kay's "babysitter" who works with authors to help them finish books when they have writers block. She assists Kay in developing the final parts of her books and stays on top of her to finish. As a result, the two are trying to finish the book but unaware that Harold Crick is a real person and this makes for an interesting ending.
Dustin Hoffman and Maggie Gyllenhaal star as Harold's spiritual advisor and his love interest. The narrating of the book affects Harold tremendously and allows him to expand out of his dull and boring life. He falls for Gyllenhaal's character who is one of the people he is auditing.
If you have an odd sense of humor you'll enjoy this movie. But if you don't, it's probably not for you. I would queue it, but would you?
