Netflix Top 100 - 67. - Knowing

Nic Cage strikes again!  But surpisingly he doesn't strike out this time.  This movie has an interesting plot line which surrounds a buried time capsule which is opened by Cage to reveal a series of future predictions that have already come to fruition. (Too bad he couldn't have used them to predict the amount of bad investments he would make)

Given the nature of the predictions and the fact that each has come true,  Cage's character, a school teacher named John Koestler, believes somehow his family may play a role in the future.  The whole idea is that a series of pre-determined dates are found in the capsule and it seems that every date has a correspondence with a major disaster.  In addition, further dates are coming and Koestler figures that one of these dates could correlate to the Apocalypse.  To be honest I've not been a big Nic Cage fan lately, because it seems his movies are either good, bad, or really bad, but this one works.  I would Queue It for sure.
