Netflix Top 100 - 69.- Eagle Eye

What a great cast in a terrible movie!  Well everyone is good with the exception of Shia LaBeouf. (Another weird spelling of an odd name...no wonder he needs constant attention)  LaBeouf plays a slacker named Jerry, who happens to be the twin of an over achieving brother.  The action sequences are good, but this is a movie that's been made already: like a hundred times.  It's easy to pick on Shia LaBeouf who doesn't show a whole lot of range in his movies, but it's really the script here that is lacking. The movie is thin on plot and heavy on action with little to offer otherwise.

Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson, and Michelle Monaghan round out the cast and all do decent jobs in their various roles.  Although it seems as if Thornton hasn't really done any acting since "Monster's Ball". Monaghan does well as a single mother who is framed and in trouble along with Jerry. (LaBeouf) They spend most of the movie trying not to die and clear their names.  It's a classic plot line that's been done many times before and this movie has little too offer other than the action sequences.  Wait for it to show up on cable.
